the Three Windmills Team Challenge is a social fun running event from Run Eat Sleep – inspired by our popular South Shields Landmark Challenge event

important information
The challenge is a self navigated run as a team, starting & finishing at Blue’s Micro Pub – with visits to Whitburn, Cleadon & Fulwell Windmills + a few extra landmarks to find along the way.
Blues Micro Pub has been booked out for the evening & after the run you can enjoy a fantastic pint (and a pie!) with your teammates & fellow runners. These can be paid for additionally after the run.
The challenge will be held on Thursday 2nd July with a 6.15pm start time & a social with everyone at the pub afterwards.
Distance 12km Approx.
Get your running friends together & enjoy a good run & a few drinks out! Enjoy a pie & a pint with everyone which can be purchased at the pub after the run 🍻 🥧
**How the challenge will work**
1. All runners must be part of a team.
2. Teams must have a minimum of 2 runners. There is no limit on the number of runners in your team.
3. Each team must run to the landmarks & navigate their own route. There is no official marked route and teams must find the checkpoints on their own. The landmarks can be visited in any order.
4. Teams must take a team photo at each of the landmarks to prove they’ve visited.
The aim is to visit all of the landmarks in the shortest time possible.
5. Prizes for first all male & first all female winning teams.
Start/Finish & Registration at Blues Micro Pub. SR6 7EW. Please car share where possible & park respectfully.
Start Time 6.15pm. Teams must register by 6pm on the evening to confirm their attendance.
Distance 12km approx. The distance is dependant on your navigation, but we expect it to be around 12km on average.
Weather & Terrain – Please check the weather forecast before coming along & wear appropriate clothing for the conditions. The terrain will be a mix of roads, grass, trails & hills.
Safety Kit – Fully charged mobile phone, water, food/snacks, emergency money, appropriate clothing. Dry clothing, socks & shoes for after the run if the conditions are wet.
